You made it. You’re the new head of state of a fictional 20th century country, right in the middle of societal and political change. And in this political management simulation it’s up to you to determine the future of your nation. Or at least try to – politics, as you will learn, is never straightforward. It’s a balancing act and you’ll have to face and manage pressures from all sides of society throughout Suzerain.
What we love: The complexity of the game, hidden behind its focus on narrative. Suzerain confronts you with a constant flow of information, requests and decisions that you need to make. Your decisions from months ago will make their way through the system, but when they will take effect and what exactly their effect will be won’t always be clear, creating a complex web of events unfolding before you.

Quick tip: Be patient with yourself and the game. There’s no right or wrong way to play Suzerain – the narrative can change based on every decision you make or choose not to make. Suzerain’s branching storylines invite you to experience your political history more than once.
Meet the creator: Suzerain is developed by the Berlin–based indie developer Torpor Games, founded in 2019.
