Meet the creator: Tertulia takes its name from the Spanish tradition of informal salons—lively gatherings where people come together to talk about books, art, and life. “There’s a special bond when you realize someone else has been taken hostage by the same book,” cofounder Lynda Hammes says. “You’ve both spent that time alone—together.”
