In this version of WH40k (as the game is known among its loyal fans), a pumping orchestral soundtrack sets the scene perfectly for the mammoth mission you’re about to embark on. Together with its compact and easy-to-grasp layout, Tacticus has plenty of appeal for both newcomers to the franchise and tabletop veterans.

From classic Space Marines to gruesome Flayed Ones, Tacticus brilliantly brings every character to life in stunning animation and a style that’s true to the original tabletop miniatures. Fans of Ultramarines, Adepta Sororitas, Necrons and many others are sure to be pleased.
Tactical decision-making
One of our favourite things about Tacticus is the fun of choosing tactics in search of victory. Should you send in your toughest or fastest marines? Do you go for ranged or melee attacks? Watching the terrain and adapting to it is key but, helpfully, Tacticus makes it clear where the elevations, obstacles and enemies within its hexagon layout lie.

As anyone who has played the Warhammer games will know, half the fun is getting to collect and create miniatures and characters. Tacticus features plenty of classic WH40k faces and factions, and even has a few surprises up its sleeve that will help you grow and adapt your team.

Customising our characters’ skills and upgrading their gear is what keeps us coming back to Tacticus for round after round of strategy. Upgrading and managing your team is enormously satisfying – especially when you’ve earned those upgrades through bruising boss fights or by uncovering the daily reward crates.
