We are celebrating TEN YEARS of the California Crunch!
The “CRUNCH!” heard across the state, the California Crunch is the annual event where children across the state take a collective bite of locally-grown fruits and vegetables to celebrate local farms and healthy eating!
The 10th Annual California Crunch is a kick-off celebration of Farm-to-School Month, and will be held on Thursday, October 16th, 2025 at NOON. If you are unable to celebrate the Crunch on this date, we encourage you to choose a date and time that works for you.
Last year’s California Crunch included over 50 school districts and 7 partner organizations, reaching over 650,000 students. Will you help us grow that number in 2025?
Participants are offered local fruits or vegetables to bite into, all at the same time, for a simultaneous “CRUNCH!”, to inspire conversations about where their food comes from and to learn about food system sustainability. All registered institutions will receive the 2025 Event Guide, links to educational videos, CA Crunch stickers, and will be included in California Crunch promotions.
