account username changed to random string of characters

Hi, i used to have the username [removed by Mod] i tried to recently login only to notice my username has been changed into [removed by Mod]
is there any way i can get my old username back?
just to clarify, this is not the display name, this is the username, the display name had also changed into this string but i was able to change it from the profile view

All new Spotify accounts have an automatically created username that usually is a string of letters and numbers. This allows users to be able to choose a display name. Sometimes a temporary error causes the automatically generated username to show up in your app. You can try logging out > restarting your device > logging back it to sync things back up.
