Unable to change subscription: when I click Select nothing happens

I am on Family premium and trying to switch to family basic. When I click Select button on the page https://www.spotify.com/us/account/subscription/change/, nothing happens.

I am on Family premium and trying to switch to family basic. When I click Select button on the page https://www.spotify.com/us/account/subscription/change/, nothing happens.

Thanks for reaching out to the Community. Sorry to see you've been having issues with your subscription change.

What I'd suggest is trying the same process via an incognito browser window or a different device entirely. Make sure no VPN services are active when doing so.

I have the same issue, tried Saferi, Chrome, Firefox, Edge on MacOs and Edge on Windows. Nothing works, the button is broken. Please fix.

Can you confirm if you're seeing Basic as an option on the Subscription page, but you're not able to select it just so we're sure we understood the issue you're describing correctly? If that's the case, then it's also worth testing this out on a mobile device instead of a PC to see if that makes a difference. 

 

If you're trying to subscribe to Basic, but you're not seeing the option at all, then it's possible that you're not eligible for the plan. In order for it to be available, you need to be an active Premium subscriber since before the launch of the plan in your market (excluding Premium Student and Family/Duo members) and have a recurring payment method. You can find more info about Basic plans here.

I have a similar problem. I have a Premium Family account and want to switch to Basic Family. Even though the option is available, I click on 'select' but nothing happens (same is if I want to switch to 'Premium Individual', 'Premium Student', or 'Premium Duo'. Please help and thank you in advance.

 

I've tried incognito, mobile device, but no result.

I am in California and am also having the same issue, when I click select to switch to a different plan, nothing happens.  I've done it on a regular Chrome browser, an incognito Chrome browser and also on Safari on my phone.  Please help!

Same here you button is broken on all possible browser and with security settings lowered to minimum

Have you tried using another network to see if that makes a difference? You can ask a friend or a relative to create a mobile hotspot for you to connect to and test.

If you haven't already, try deleting any stored cookies or browser data for the Spotify webpage as well as temporarily disabling any active extensions for your browser to see if that helps.

I am trying to switch from a Premium Individual to Premium Family and I'm having the same issue and I have tried all the ways listed in this thread.  The select button is there but cannot be tapped or clicked.  I can access the subscriptions under the Premium drop down menu and I'm able to click the Get Started box but I hestate to continue as I worry I will then be charged for both accounts.  Please fix the buttons so my kids stop driving me crazy!

No worries, you shouldn't be charged twice, only make sure that you're logged in to the correct account that you'd like to upgrade from Individual to Family. 

 

Would you mind sharing some screenshots of where you're able to click 'Get Started' and if you're able to continue after selecting Family as an option? You can attach them via the Insert Image option in the post editor (double-check that no sensitive info is visible such as your subscription date or username for example).

 

We'll be on the lookout.
