Aug 15, 2012 at 4:19 comment added user827992 @lorancou that's why i was focusing more on the general design of my application for this, but i can be wrong and looking on the internet for articles and stuff sometimes it's not good for clearing the air about a specific topic, anyway i would like to cover all the options, so regarding the last part of your topic i would like to consider both options, gestures and virtual buttons with a custom graphics and layout.
Aug 15, 2012 at 4:13 comment added Laurent Couvidou Your input system has to match you "product features". Think about it: input can't be handled the same in Call of Duty, Guitar Hero and Just Dance. About touch devices: do you want to recognise gestures, or just have "virtual buttons"?
Aug 15, 2012 at 4:08 comment added user827992 @lorancou well this are product-features, i was looking for the best approach for programmer to do that, but if you put this way i should say that the essential requirements are: multi-platform and user-configurable, if it's possible i would love to take into account the new touch device.
Aug 15, 2012 at 4:06 comment added Laurent Couvidou So your question isn't about draining resources. Define "good system" then: easy to implement, easy to use, easy to grasp, multi-platform, single-platform, user-configurable?...

Aug 15, 2012 at 4:02 comment added user827992 @lorancou mouse, keyboard, gamepad, the usual stuff ... yes i don't worry about that but how to implement a good system that can handle this? How you will do that?
Aug 15, 2012 at 4:00 comment added Laurent Couvidou What kind of input? Buttons presses? You don't have to worry about performance for that.
