Thanks to anyone that took the time to answer my question, but I wanted to answer it myself for future people interested in a potential solution - The accepted answer at this link: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/686353/random-float-number-generation worked for me and solved my issue, specifically, I used the code prefixed with "This will generate a number from some arbitrary LO to some arbitrary HI:".
