Today’s top Fantasy Sports questions:

  • Two teams in my league are tied in our standings. How is the tiebreaker determined?
In Fantasy Football, total fantasy points (season total) is what’s first used to break the tie. If this is also tied, then we’ll use fantasy points scored in the most recently completed matchup, then fantasy points scored in the matchup two weeks prior (this continues until the tie is broken).

  • I have the same overall record and more points scored than another team for the lead in my division. Why are they ranked above me?
For leagues that use divisions, the division winning percentage is used first to break the tie for the division lead. If this is tied as well, then it goes back to total points scored, followed by points scored in the most recently completed matchup. This method is only used for a tie for a division lead, not all division tiebreakers.

  • Why does my league not have a consolation bracket? Can I add one?
Only leagues that use the 6-team, 7 team, or 4-team playoff format will have a consolation bracket. It is not possible to add consolation brackets to the 8-team playoff bracket.

  • Why is my lineup locked for the week? Can I change this?
For leagues that use weekly roster changes, players can only be adjusted between positions until the start of the first game on the designated day of the week. If there's no game then 11:59PM PT is the deadline. If you’re looking to change this setting, you’ll need to submit the change through the “Roster Transaction Deadline” tool. This can be found through Commissioner Tools > League Settings > Roster Transaction Deadline. Any changes made to a weekly setting will go into effect starting the following Monday. Changes made to a daily setting will go into effect the following day.
