We hosted an Executive Briefing in Washington, D.C. last month, where publishing leaders came together to explore one of the most urgent topics shaping our industry today: building effective human-AI collaboration in scholarly communication. Our CEO, Akhilesh Ayer, opened the session with a compelling examination of the structural realities faced by publishing such as soaring submission volumes, limited reviewing capacity and the need to harness AI thoughtfully to support human judgment rather than dilute it. We were honored to be joined by Professor Mike Grandinetti and Dr. Sarah Tegen, PhD, who shared strategic and practical perspectives on how AI can be integrated into editorial workflows in a way that accelerates processes while preserving trust, context and accountability. We’ve compiled the core reflections and conclusions from the session into a concise white paper: https://bit.ly/3Y2Ygtc Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to this conversation. We look forward to continuing these exchanges and creating many more such forums that bring the community together to shape the future of scholarly publishing. Recently, the CACTUS China team participated in three major Shanghai events; the IATUL Annual Conference, the Pudong Sub-Forum at the China International Import Expo (CIIE), and the Chinese Society for University Journals (CSUJ) Annual Conference, advancing our leadership in human–AI collaboration for research communication. At IATUL, we met with senior university library leaders to outline how Paperpal and our AI-driven solutions strengthen research writing and institutional workflows. At the CIIE Sub-Forum, alongside global innovators like ABB, Tesla, and PwC, CACTUS contributed to discussions on the future of technology-enabled knowledge creation. The highlight was meeting Nobel Laureate Professor Thomas Sargent. At CSUJ, our session on AI-enhanced publishing workflows underscored how CACTUS combines human expertise with intelligent tools to support journals and editors end to end. Three events, one clear direction :) CACTUS continues to power the future of research with purpose and precision. #poweringresearch #empoweringpeople #explorenewchapters

The commitment that researchers have is extraordinary, but it often comes at a personal cost. We know that around 1 in 3 career researchers show signs of "high-risk" burnout, pushing boundaries at the expense of time with loved ones. This Thanksgiving, we at Editage decided to help change that. Through our Take Me Home initiative, we showed our gratitude for the incredible work you do by supporting researchers to go home free of cost and spend time with their loved ones. We believe that true clarity and purpose are found when you are reconnected with the people and places that ground you. Thank you to every researcher who dedicates their life to research and discovery. We are proud to support you in your publication journey #Editage #TakeMeHome #Thanksgiving

This year’s meetups from Jaipur’s warmth to Bengaluru’s energy reminded us that when Cactizens meet in person, the whole texture of connection changes. And none of it is accidental. Every city meetup is carefully curated, the venue, the flow of the evening, the small cues that make everyone feel welcome, whether they joined last week or have been here for years. It’s inclusion in its most tangible form: creating a space where our 'accelerate from anywhere' culture gains depth, dimension, and yes a lot of dance floor time :) #lifeatcactus

The increasing prevalence of chronic diseases worldwide is driven by complex sociocultural, behavioral, and environmental causes. In her insightful webinar, Dr. Raffaella Gozzelino examines the factors limiting healthcare access for individuals with chronic conditions, addressing mental health challenges among young healthcare professionals and the distinct barriers facing high-risk patient groups. Watch the webinar to discover how strategic, cross-sector collaboration among providers, policymakers, and agencies can break down these structural barriers: https://lnkd.in/erfQyUuR #ChronicDiseases #HealthcareManagement #Collaboration
