The collaboration between Duferco Group and UM6P - University Mohammed VI Polytechnic continues to grow, fostering knowledge exchange and innovation in the field of renewable energy and green hydrogen. Today two UM6P students share their internship experience within Duferco companies, highlighting the value of international cooperation and the opportunities that come from learning in a real industrial environment. Together, we invest in the next generation of talents shaping the future of sustainable energy.

Duferco Terminal Mediterraneo, our new Sicilian container terminal, is operating successfully. In recent days, docking and unloading operations were completed for the Nova Marine Carriers SA group's ship Sider Buffalo. Over 5,800 tons of steel, including wire rod and electro-welded mesh, were unloaded and handled at the Giammoro pier, marking a further step forward in the launch of the new terminal, which aims to be a strategic logistics platform for trade flows between Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East.

Yesterday, Milan hosted the closing event of the Duferco 2025 Academy, held by Wylab. The occasion saw the awarding of prizes to the winning projects of the Management Challenge: a competition of ideas to improve Duferco for tomorrow. The next meeting is scheduled for next year and will once again see the participation of all the Group's Italian companies.

For the past two and a half years, we have chosen to invest in the well-being and health of our employees by introducing Buddyfit as part of our corporate welfare program — a complete solution that makes training accessible to everyone. Yesterday, at the Italy-Algeria Economic Forum held at Villa Pamphili in Rome, our President Antonio Gozzi signed a Memorandum of Understanding between Duferco and Copresud, with the aim of strengthening collaboration in the energy sector, focusing on the integration of renewable energy sources and the progressive use of green hydrogen in industrial processes. This agreement, aligned with the Piano Mattei, represents a concrete step towards a sustainable and long-term partnership, based on innovation, industrial synergies, and a shared vision for the economic development of the Mediterranean region.

We’re proud to announce that Banco BPM has finalized a €21M financing deal in support of Duferco Group strategic investment in Sicily. Backed by a SACE Growth guarantee, the loan will help develop the new multi-purpose terminal in Giammoro, as part of a broader €95M redevelopment plan including a peaker plant and a green hydrogen project. Duferco Travi e Profilati supports innovation and youth education by contributing to the Helios Project, conceived and developed by ITIS Castelli in Brescia: a system that produces hydrogen through electrolysis to power a hydroponic greenhouse. A concrete initiative that combines high-quality education, hands-on experimentation, and the core themes of the energy transition.

Operations begin at Duferco Terminal Mediterraneo: the first private multi-purpose container terminal in Sicily.  The new Milazzo dock, managed by Duferco Terminal Mediterraneo, is officially operational. This project, developed by the Duferco Group, is part of the redevelopment plan for the Giammoro industrial area, presented last year at the Chamber of Commerce of Messina.  https://lnkd.in/dAcqbgC3
