📣 𝐒𝐆𝐒 𝐌𝐚𝐜𝐨 𝐚𝐚𝐧𝐰𝐞𝐳𝐢𝐠 𝐨𝐩 𝐝𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐠 𝐯𝐚𝐧 𝐝𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭 2025! Op 18 november waren collega’s van SGS Maco aanwezig bij de 𝘋𝘢𝘨 𝘷𝘢𝘯 𝘥𝘦 𝘋𝘦𝘤𝘭𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘵 2025 van evofenedex in Veenendaal, een dag die volledig in het teken stond van de snel veranderende wereld van internationale handel, douane en digitalisering. Tijdens dit evenement kregen onze collega’s waardevolle inzichten mee over o.a.: • de impact van de herziening van het Douanewetboek van de Unie; • hoe AI het werk van de declarant nu én in de toekomst verandert; • actuele douaneontwikkelingen en praktische handvatten voor dagelijkse compliance-uitdagingen; • praktijkgerichte workshops over o.a. oorsprongsregels, dropshipments, AI in indelingen en exportcontrols & sancties. Naast de inhoudelijke verdieping was er volop gelegenheid om kennis te delen, ervaringen uit te wisselen en te sparren met vakgenoten en experts uit het hele land. 🔎 Voor SGS Maco blijft het belangrijk om voorop te lopen in kennis, expertise en technologische ontwikkelingen binnen het douane- en compliancevak. 𝐄𝐔 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 €150 𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐝 Today the Council announced a key step to tackle the massive influx of low-value parcels entering the EU without paying customs duties. This change could affect everything from pricing strategies and delivery flows to the competitiveness of EU-based sellers. A temporary system is planned as early as 2026, with a full digital solution expected in 2028. 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐄𝐔 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 2026 𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐝 The European Commission has released 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐄𝐔) 2025/1926, introducing the 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐍𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 (𝐂𝐍) 2026. Key updates include new CN and TARIC codes, a modernized CN structure, and revised classifications for lithium compounds, wind turbine parts, and hydrogen fuel cell technology. Starting 1 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 2025, 𝐌𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐨𝐯𝐚 and 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐨 will officially join the 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐂𝐓𝐂), enabling smoother, faster customs transit across their territories. Businesses using 𝐍𝐂𝐓𝐒 should prepare by updating their 𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐬 to include these countries. The European Commission has confirmed the implementation timeline for the 𝗘𝗨 𝗗𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗘𝗨𝗗𝗥). The regulation, designed to ensure deforestation-free supply chains for products such as cocoa, soy, palm oil, rubber and wood, 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱. Penalties for non-compliance will apply from 𝗺𝗶𝗱-𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, while 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀.
