🌍 Kinnarps reduced emissions by 86% through material changes! In a coordinated project between us and our customers, Kinnarps Sverige and Nolato, we explored how switching materials in the base frame of a desk pedestal could reduce emissions. After material changes in two steps – first from PA6 to high-crystalline PP, then to recycled PP – we achieved a total CO₂ emission reduction of 86% for the component compared to the original material. That was the key question when member companies, experts, and industry professionals gathered at the Plastindustrien (Danish Plastics Industry) annual conference on climate data in Nyborg this week. Henrik Palokangas was there together with Viggo R. Frederiksen to share hands-on experiences with measuring CO₂ footprint per material and to demonstrate how smart choices in component selection can both lower emissions and reduce costs.

🌸 Breast Cancer Awareness Fundraiser 🌸 Our US office is partnering with the Susan G. Komen Foundation – one of the world’s leading organizations in the fight against breast cancer – to raise money for breast cancer research, education, and community support. As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the US office has organized a fundraiser by selling pink pins and handcrafted ribbons. On their Pink Out Day, October 24th, employees proudly wore these items along with pink clothing to show solidarity and raise awareness. 🎀 How you can help: Our fundraising goal is $200 by October 31st, and we would greatly appreciate your support. This week, we had the pleasure of attending Framtidsmässan (the Future Fair) 2025, a local education and career inspiration day in Ystad for students aged 13-16.   The event was divided into two areas: 🎓 An educational section providing guidance on future career choices. 🏢 A business section where local companies showcased future professions and offered hands-on activities.   Around 1,500 students attended, exploring opportunities and getting inspired for their future careers.   At our booth, Anton and Linus kept the energy high with a fun competition – because nothing grabs attention quite like a little friendly challenge! It was a great way to engage students and open up to conversations about what our company has to offer.    We were thrilled to meet so many curious young minds and show them the possibilities within our industry!
