In 2017, Tony was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer - a life-changing moment that could have been very different if a national screening programme had been in place. This #InternationalVolunteersDay, we thank Tony for channeling his energy into helping others avoid the same fate. His experience highlights the critical importance of raising awareness about early detection. Until we have a screening programme for all men, this work remains crucial. #ProstateCancer l #MensHealth l #Cancer l #Screening

The UK National Screening Committee has decided there isn't enough evidence to recommend screening for the vast majority of men. But it's not the end. Our TRANSFORM trial will play a vital role in the next part of the story. You can help us move closer towards a screening programme by donating to support this groundbreaking research. ➡️ Donate now: bit.ly/3Ma7hy7 #ProstateCancer l #MensHealth l #Screening l #Research l Matthew Hobbs

Ex-boxer and pundit Johnny Nelson MBE knows firsthand how devastating prostate cancer can be for a family. For nearly a decade, he’s been at the forefront of major campaigns to raise awareness. Thanks to our TRANSFORM trial, we’re closer than ever to getting the evidence that will finally tip the balance in favour of screening for all men. But in the meantime, it’s vital for men to understand their risk and know what steps they can take next. ➡️ Check your risk: bit.ly/3KqDJvp #ProstateCancer l #MensHealth l #Cancer l #Screening

Our TRANSFORM trial will provide the crucial evidence needed to pave the way for a screening programme for all men. Professor Hashim Ahmed and Professor Mark Emberton are among the lead researchers spearheading this groundbreaking work. Following last week’s disappointing decision, we’re working closely with the UK National Screening Committee to ensure they review the vital evidence from TRANSFORM as soon as it’s available. But we need your support to keep this lifesaving research moving forward. ➡️ Donate today: bit.ly/3Ma7hy7 #ProstateCancer l #MensHealth l #Screening l #Research

Ruth has supported our work for over a decade - campaigning to raise funds and awareness of prostate cancer 👏 Her husband, Andrew, died from the disease. They’d been married 33 years, and he was enjoying his retirement. Every day without screening for all men means more men like Andrew miss the chance of a lifesaving early diagnosis. It shouldn’t be this way. This week’s decision on screening is disappointing, but we know what’s needed to finally deliver a much bigger screening programme. ➡️ Learn more: bit.ly/44rjxQW #ProstateCancer l #MensHealth l #Cancer l #Screening

The UK National Screening Committee has recommended screening only for men who are at higher risk due to BRCA gene variations. This is a step in the right direction - but it’s only a fraction of the men we need to save. That’s why we’re driving forward with TRANSFORM - our groundbreaking £42 million research trial that will provide the crucial remaining evidence that could make prostate cancer screening a reality for all men. And alongside this, we’ll continue to push politicians to create an early detection programme - to make diagnosing the disease faster and fairer for everyone. ➡️ Learn more: bit.ly/44rjxQW #ProstateCancer l #MensHealth l #Cancer l #Screening

We won’t stop until we have a screening programme for all men. Until then, more of our dads, brothers, grandads, partners and friends will miss out on the chance of a potentially lifesaving early diagnosis. It’s a chance that every man deserves. Our Director of Health Services, Equity & Improvement, Chiara De Biase, reacts to today’s disappointing decision from the UK National Screening Committee. #ProstateCancer l #MensHealth l #Cancer l #Screening
