After securing its first customer, KT Sat, in September, the company has now signed heads of agreement with Space Leasing International (SLI) to purchase two AscendArc GEO satellites valued at over $200 million. For a Seed-stage company, this level of commercial traction is exceptionally rare. Their architecture is not an incremental upgrade. It is a fundamental rethink of GEO economics, throughput performance and manufacturability. The two major commitments from KT Sat and SLI in quick succession show just how strongly the market is responding. The early data is clear: satellite messaging is not just an eSOS feature—it’s essential. Nearly 30% of users are messaging across multiple days, showing that satellite connectivity on a smartwatch is becoming an intentional, consistent utility — all without a smartphone. And this isn’t limited to one region. Demand is truly global, with usage split almost evenly between the US and EU. 🛰️🌍
