Hype Label of the Month: OHRAL
Germany’s long-running deep house institution OHRAL – born from underground parties in the ’90s and now a full-fledged label, radio show, and artist hub – steps into the spotlight as Beatport’s Hype Label of the Month.

OHRAL has been doing the damn thing since way back in 1994, when Hardy Heller started throwing sweaty underground parties under the name “Ohral” and accidentally kicked off what would become a full-on German deep house institution. What began as a hometown gathering grew into a proper community, then a booking agency, and eventually – in 2009 – the record label OHRAL Recordings, powered today by Hardy, Alex Connors, and Maxie König.
Over the past 15 years, the imprint has become synonymous with quality European-influenced deep house, releasing music from dance floor veterans like Dilby, Gorge, Markus Homm, and rising talents including Julian Millan, Weikum, Corvex, and NuCasa. Signature cuts such as "Remembrance," "Full Hearts & Empty Pockets," and "Ignis" showcase the label’s emotive, groove-driven identity.
With upcoming releases from Sergio Parrado and new remixes from Dilby and Weikum, the label continues to expand its orbit while staying true to its mantra: connecting people through music that moves both heart and body.
