Join us for WMDD’s Capstone Project Showcase, where innovation meets creativity! Over 12 weeks, our graduating designers and developers have built multi-platform software solutions that blend cutting-edge UX/UI design, AI integration, and full-stack development. Each team will pitch their market-ready MVPs live, showcasing how ideas evolve into real, user-focused digital products.

Expect an inspiring evening filled with original apps, live feedback from industry experts, and a chance to vote for the Audience Favourite. Whether you’re a recruiter, industry professional, or tech enthusiast, this event is your opportunity to discover emerging talent and connect with Vancouver’s creative tech community.

• Innovative mobile and web apps built in just 12 weeks
• Live Q&A and panel feedback from Canadian tech leaders
• Networking with students, faculty, and industry guests
• Audience voting for “Best in Show” and “Audience Favourite”

✨ App Names:

• InSpec - Simplifying property inspections with AI and GPS. InSpec helps landlords and tenants document and track property conditions with clarity and confidence.
• Zyra - Building better habits through play! Zyra turns daily routines into AR adventures, where kids earn fun 3D surprises and parents track progress with smart insights.
• PIP - Confidence through conversation. PIP helps users manage social anxiety with friendly AI feedback that guides and encourages real-world communication skills.
• DoSis - Your smart health companion. DoSis makes managing medications simple and safe with reminders, alerts, and personalized schedules that fit your daily routine.

✨ Run of Show:

• 5:30 pm - 6:00 pm: Networking
• 6:00 pm: Settling in and Opening Remarks. Introduction of feedback panelists and appreciation for sponsors and partners
• 6:15 pm - 7:30 pm: Teams present Capstone projects
• 7:30 pm – 7:45 pm: Audience vote on Audience Favourite and Q&A
• 7:45 pm: Announce Best in Show & Audience Favourite
• 8:00 pm – 8:30 pm: Networking
