A24 has announced 14 films are part of its official "For Your Consideration" campaign for the 2026 Oscars.
The would-be contenders include Marty Supreme, which Gold Derby predicts will receive multiple Oscar nominations, including Best Picture and Best Actor for Timothée Chalamet as a passionate table tennis player; The Smashing Machine, in which Dwayne Johnson delivers a heralded performance as a real-life MMA fighter; If I Had Legs I'd Kick You, with Rose Byrne in the Oscar discussion for playing a therapist at her wit's end; and Bring Her Back, a fan-fave horror flick starring Sally Hawkins as the foster parent from hell.
A24 was founded in 2012 and has produced some truly groundbreaking motion pictures, including Best Picture Oscar champions Moonlight (2016) — which also won Best Supporting Actor for Mahershala Ali and Best Adapted Screenplay — and Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022) — which also received Best Actress for Michelle Yeoh, Best Supporting Actress for Jamie Lee Curtis, Best Supporting Actor for Ke Huy Quan, Best Director and Best Original Screenplay for Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, and Best Film Editing.
Other A24 films to take home Academy Awards over the past decade include Room (2015) for Best Actress for Brie Larson; Ex Machina for Best Visual Effects (2015); Amy (2015) for Best Documentary Feature; Minari (2020) for Best Supporting Actress for Yuh-jung Youn; The Whale (2022) for Best Actor for Brendan Fraser and Best Makeup & Hairstyling; The Zone of Interest (2023) for Best International Feature Film and Best Sound; and The Brutalist (2024) for Best Actor for Adrien Brody, Best Score, and Best Cinematography.
