Help Sasha Bruce Youthworks Help District Youth

Sasha Bruce Youthwork is facing one of the most challenging winters in our 50-year history. Young people across DC are showing up at our doors with deeper trauma, greater need, and fewer safety nets than ever before—just as crucial funding is being delayed or reduced. Every day, youth arrive at our Drop-In Centers looking for warmth, a meal, and someone who won’t turn them away.

Sasha Bruce provides food and shelter to the District’s youth.

Young people like Eric, who came to us seeking warmth and a meal but found so much more: a caring team ready to help him rebuild his life. With support from our staff, he attended job fairs, secured permanent supportive housing, and began to feel stable for the first time in years.

This season, we’re asking our neighbors to help ensure no young person is left out in the cold. Our goal is to raise $450,000 by December 31, and thanks to the generosity of The Judy and Peter Blum Kovler Foundation, all gifts will be doubled up to $65,000. Community support ensures we can continue saying “yes” the moment a young person asks for help. Join us at give.sashabruce.org/NoDoorClosed and help keep our doors open to youth who need us most.
