Community Leadership in Action: AltaMed Volunteers Step Up When our team sees a need, they step in and take action, especially when challenges like the SNAP disruption impact the communities we serve. Our mission is clear: to eliminate disparities in health care access and outcomes. That means recognizing that a lack of food access is a major health barrier. A huge thank you to the more than 30 AltaMed volunteers who powered our South Gate food drive, helping over 300 families access the food they needed.
