We were excited to welcome Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics at the University of Houston, Eddie Nuñez, as the keynote speaker for our November General Membership Meeting, hosted at Landry's Seafood at the Kemah Boardwalk. Mr. Nuñez delivered an engaging address highlighting the outstanding athletics program at the University of Houston and the potential to collaborate with the community and share in their successes. BAHEP hosted a delegation from the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, led by their President, Lorie Logan, for a roundtable discussion on business and economic conditions in the Bay Area Houston region’s aerospace sector. The conversation focused on the increasing private-sector growth in the aerospace industry, outlooks for the industry going forward, and the connection between the industry and the broader Houston region. This roundtable discussion is part of President Logan’s 360 visit and listening tour in cities across the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas’ 11th district. We hosted our Smart Manufacturing Steering Committee yesterday to chat with the Texas Defense Aerospace Manufacturing Community (TDAMC) to identify the best ways to implement AI technologies into the manufacturing industry in the Bay Area. Thank you to our amazing Steering Committee members who joined us and our partners at TDMAC and the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station (TEES) for helping us get this new initiative up and running!

Our BAHEP Space City Workforce Committee is pleased to partner with Workforce Solutions on a Career Development Workshop next Tuesday (11/18). The Workshop is designed specifically for our local aerospace professionals, who may be considering the next phase in their career and need some tips and tools to aid in their job search. Some HR professionals from the Committee will be available on-site to provide one-on-one coaching and pointers on resumes and job search.
