Whatever It Takes to Build Great Futures
About us
Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma-Marin has been serving youth for over 75 years, since 1946. Many alumni fondly remember their days at the Barbieri Boxing Club in Healdsburg which became the first Club in the County. Every day, our county’s future leaders come to the Clubs seeking hope & opportunity from caring adults. What happens next is hard to describe. Somewhere between hours of homework help, character building experiences, and positive relationships with other kids, lives are changed. Since 2008, we’ve grown from serving 300 young people to more than 10,000 Sonoma and Marin County children every year at 40 Clubs. Our growth is the outward demonstration of our commitment to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible adults. We hope you'll keep your eye on this growth and we invite you to join us in making a difference in the lives of thousands of youth! Join our team and start a meaningful career in youth development! Hiring, developing, and retaining the highest quality staff possible is where it all begins. That’s because our work is anchored in our team's ability to bring our mission to life. We place a priority on professional development and support our employees through in-house training certifications; management training programs for current and future managers; annual retreats, and individual coaching/mentoring and job shadowing. ✨ Last night, we had the honor of celebrating our incredible donors, partners, and community members at our Donor Appreciation Event. Surrounded by inspiring stories, dedicated supporters, and the youth whose futures are being shaped every day, we were reminded of just how powerful this community truly is. The highlight of the night came from one of our Club Leads, Fawna Pintor, who shared a powerful story of resilience and possibility—reminding all of us exactly why this work matters. Because of our supporters, nearly 11,000 young people across Sonoma County walk into a Club each year and find safety, mentorship, academic support, and a pathway filled with possibilities. If you are inspired to join our mission and support Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma-Marin, please consider a donation to these meaningful opportunities to support local youth: Holiday Gift Drive: Providing holiday joy and vital food + emotional security to more than 1,100 children and family members this season (Click Here👉https://lnkd.in/eBS9tu6U ) Annual Fund: Sustaining our mission year-round for every young person who relies on us (Click Here👉https://lnkd.in/gT9TtEwk ) Thank you to everyone who attended, supported, spoke, volunteered, and celebrated with us. Together, we are shaping futures, strengthening communities, and changing lives. A heartfelt thank you to our gracious host, Mill District, and to Jordan Vineyard & Winery, LANDO Wines, and Hafner Vineyard for elevating the evening with exceptional hospitality. Here’s to another year of impact—and to the people who make it all possible. 💙✨ Jennifer Weiss Evan Welty Michelle Edwards Heery Megan Spackman, PHR #GreatFuturesStartHere #BGCSM #DonorAppreciation #CommunityImpact #NonprofitLeadership #YouthDevelopment #WhateverItTakes

Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma-Marin reposted this
Double the pride! So appreciate Community First Credit Union's commitment to support the Community and particularly their investment in kids through Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma-Marin. And at my favorite event to boot. The best pinot and bubbles with the best people for the best cause!
Community First was a Salamzaer Sponsor of Healdsburg Crush on October 12. This was a great event that showcases some of the best wines that California has to offer, as well as benefits the Boys and Girls Club of Sonoma-Marin, funding programs like mental health and academic support to healthy meals and summer camps.

We're thrilled to announce Megan Spackman, PHR promotion to Vice President of Human Resources! 🙌 Megan’s story with Boys & Girls Clubs comes full circle. She first joined us 16 years ago as a program coordinator, but her journey began even earlier as a Club kid. From Club kid to coordinator to VP, Megan has been a rising star within our organization. Her recent promotion has given her a moment to reflect on how she has been able to experience the organization from all different angles, as she steps into this new milestone. “I have literally grown up in Boys & Girls Clubs. I believe in the mission because at heart, I am a Club kid," Megan shares. In her new role, Megan is excited to lead HR strategy around compensation, benefits, and culture focusing on inclusion and positivity through conversations that are candid and transparent. Her commitment to building a workplace that empowers those who serve youth every day is inspiring. “Megan is intelligent, hardworking, and dedicated to growth. She’s the ideal person to lead our people department,” says Jennifer Weiss, CEO. This promotion is so well deserved, and we can’t wait to see the impact Megan will continue to make. Drop a “Congrats, Megan!” below! 🎉 Jennifer Weiss Michelle Edwards Heery Evan Welty
