  • Read the blog to find out the results from the first pig-to-human lung transplant: https://lnkd.in/gHh_TdPG For those suffering from end-stage respiratory failure, lung transplantation is often a necessary life-saving procedure. However, the procedure is limited due to a major issue: the shortage of appropriate organs. Fortunately, scientists have come up with a plan B — xenotransplantation, the act of transplanting live tissue from one species to another. In this blog, we discuss the realities of pig-to-human lung transplantation.

  • At Bio-Rad, we’re proud to support innovations that make precision oncology a reality. Read this paper to learn how liquid biopsies are advancing pediatric cancer diagnostics ➡️ https://lnkd.in/gr2GWDs4 Transforming cancer diagnostics, liquid biopsies offer a noninvasive approach for detecting tumor-derived DNA circulating in the blood, providing a more comprehensive view of disease than traditional tissue biopsies. However, their routine use has been limited by the need for standardized, highly sensitive assays. Researchers developed a Droplet Digital PCR (ddPCR) assay to detect hypermethylation of the tumor suppressor gene RASSF1A in small-volume blood samples. Tested across pediatric solid tumors including neuroblastoma, renal tumors, rhabdomyosarcoma, and Hodgkin lymphoma, the assay showed strong sensitivity for tumor detection and monitoring treatment response in high-risk neuroblastoma. By enabling precise detection of tumor-derived DNA from minimally invasive samples, Bio-Rad’s ddPCR technology provides a quick, reproducible approach for detecting minimal residual disease, informing therapeutic decisions and improving outcomes for young patients.

  • Discover real-world antibody discovery campaigns targeting challenging molecules, powered by the Pioneer Antibody Discovery Platform: https://lnkd.in/gN7Ft4mW This poster delivers comprehensive data on antibody selection against IL-6R, C5aR, and CXCR4, including affinity, diversity, in vitro functionality, and developability that are critical for reducing risk in early-stage programs. It also illustrates how researchers can accelerate timelines while achieving candidate quality comparable to late-stage clinical antibodies.

  • Read this article: https://lnkd.in/gRT549-2 Multiplex immunoassays enable efficient, high-throughput biomarker analysis from limited clinical samples, which is especially important in complex diseases. With the growing number of multiplexing platforms available, including bead-based, array-based, DNA barcoding, and microfluidic approaches, choosing the right technology for your research needs is more critical than ever. In this Biocompare article, Vanitha Margan of Bio-Rad Laboratories discusses how each technology offers distinct advantages in sensitivity, scalability, and efficiency. She highlights that platform selection ultimately depends on factors such as sample type, target concentration, and workflow requirements. Vanitha also highlights Bio-Rad’s Bio-Plex Multiplex Immunoassays, which provide reliable, high-performance detection of both abundant and low-level analytes.

  • Unlock the science behind transfusion safety!
https://lnkd.in/gMstE2rH Join Dr. Carla Dinardo as she explores how IgG1 and IgG3 subclasses are linked to hemolysis risk in red blood cell allo- and autoantibody contexts. Discover key findings on their frequency and in vitro behavior compared to other IgG subclasses in patients and blood donors with RBC autoantibodies. Register for this webinar today!

  • Improve your western blotting with Bio-Rad’s TidyBlot HRP-Conjugated Detection Reagent: https://lnkd.in/ggmu32Tv Unlike conventional detection reagents, such as secondary antibodies, TidyBlot Reagent only binds to native antibodies used for the visualization of your target protein, avoiding interference from IgG heavy and light chains, leaving a clean publication-quality blot. Compatible with a variety of both monoclonal and polyclonal primary antibodies, TidyBlot removes the need to purchase multiple dedicated HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies. Perform highly specific secondary detection with TidyBlot Reagent. #Antibodies #WesternBlotting #Biotech #LifeScience
