Feel Good Friday! 💙🍕 This Tuesday, our Cherry Crest Club members received a special visit from Rucky, the mascot of the Seattle Seawolves Rugby, along with a well-earned pizza party. Back in September, all BGCB sites participated in Great Futures Day, and Cherry Crest brought in the largest number of individual donations across the organization. In addition to celebrating their achievement, our staff used the moment to help members understand the purpose and impact of philanthropy — and they embraced it with enthusiasm. We’re grateful to the Seattle Seawolves and their Community Team for donating their time and helping create an unforgettable experience for our youth. The Boys and Girls Clubs of Bellevue extend our gratitude to Costco Wholesale and its employees, whose recent generosity provided enough shelf-stable food to support approximately 250 local families. From soup, beans, and pasta to peanut butter, diapers, and essential baby-care items, donations were delivered to three Bellevue subsidized housing communities, Eastside Terrace, Hidden Village, and Spiritwood Manor, where the Boys and Girls Clubs of Bellevue offer on-site youth programs and social services. King County Housing Authority’s subsidized housing program helps low-income families access affordable housing throughout the county. Families qualify with an annual household income at or below 80% of the area median income (AMI), with priority given to those at or below 30% AMI. In King County, 80% AMI for a family of four is $110,950, and 30% AMI is $45,200. We are grateful to the Costco employees whose kindness and commitment have made a meaningful difference this holiday season for families facing food insecurity and struggling with basic needs. Together, we can ensure that our community feels cared for, during this season of giving and all year long.

Today, our hearts are full. ❤️ The Kneip and Bacon families delivered 300 complete Thanksgiving meal bags to ensure Club families across Bellevue can enjoy a joyful holiday. Each bag includes shelf-stable foods, festive touches, and a gift card for fresh produce and proteins. The entire Bellevue High School football team volunteered to help assemble the bags, making this effort a true community celebration. We are so grateful to both families for their partnership and generosity, and to all who helped make the holiday season brighter for our youth and their families. 💙🧡

Last week we partnered with Seahawks safety Julian Love and Down to Earth Cuisine to host a special Thanksgiving dinner for more than 100 Club kids who need us most. Julian served meals, spent time with our youth, and helped create memories that mean so much during the holiday season. We’re grateful for partners who show up with heart — especially this time of year. 🧡💙
