Central Kentucky Community Action Council is honored to be a recipient of generous funding from Central Kentucky Community Foundation and its donors for our Emergency Rent Match Assistance Program. CKCAC’s Community Services Block Grant offices in our area will be able to utilize these funds to help Central Kentuckians acquire or maintain stable housing in a crisis. As we prepare for the Thanksgiving holiday, CKCAC is incredibly grateful to CKCF and its generous donors for helping us meet this incredibly important need in our community. 📣 Your voice shapes policy. Make it count. When you contact your elected officials, it’s not just a message. It’s a data point. Congressional offices track and tally the topics constituents reach out about. Every call, tweet, or email helps build momentum for the issues you care about. This flyer makes it easy to connect with Kentucky’s congressional leaders. The QR code gives you the ability to find contact information for other elected officials who represent you!

Central Kentucky Community Action Council wants to extend heartfelt appreciation to the Senate and House Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies subcommittees for supporting necessary Community Action programs. Our communities are stronger with these programs and CKCAC thanks all of the subcommittee members for their support. Together, we look forward to continuing to support the folks of Central Kentucky with a hand-up and not a handout. CSBG: A Flexible Lifeline for Families on the Path to Success 💬 Every family’s journey is different. Some need help finding stable housing. Others are working toward employment, education, or recovery. The Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) gives Central Kentucky Community Action Council (CKCAC) the ability to tailor services to each individual’s needs—offering not a handout, but a hand up. 🤚🆙 CSBG allows CKCAC to walk alongside our neighbors, no matter where they are on their path. It’s about dignity, opportunity, and the belief that everyone can succeed with the right support that we can give with CSBG funding. 🚶➡️ CSBG’s flexibility is what makes it so effective. It empowers CKCAC to respond quickly to crises, adapt to changing community conditions, and support long-term success for families across our Kentucky counties of Breckinridge, Grayson, Hardin, LaRue, Marion, Meade, Nelson and Washington. 📍 Follow the statewide campaign using hashtags #PathwayToSuccess, #CSBGWorks, and #WeAreCSBG, and learn how CSBG is helping Kentuckians build stronger, more resilient futures. -Bryan Conover, Executive Director Community Action Kentucky Community Action Partnership - National Office

CSBG Empowers Local Voices to Solve Local Problems 💬 Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) empowers local voices to solve local problems. Central Kentucky Community Action Council (CKCAC) has CSBG offices in all eight of our Kentucky counties of Breckinridge, Grayson, Hardin, LaRue, Marion, Meade, Nelson and Washington with local staff supporting local folks. 📍 Unlike one-size-fits-all programs, CSBG is designed to be flexible and responsive to the unique needs of each community. CKCAC conducts regular community needs assessment to understand the specific barriers and opportunities in our service area. We use this data to guide the development of programs that are tailored, effective, and rooted in our local realities. 🚧 Not only does CKCAC rely on the community needs assessment data, we also are governed by a tripartite board that includes elected officials, private citizens, and individuals with lived experience of poverty. These board members bring invaluable insight and ensure that services are not only compassionate but also practical and grounded in real-world understanding. 💡 Follow the statewide campaign using hashtags #LocalLeadership, #WeAreCSBG, and #CSBGWorks, and learn how CSBG is helping Kentucky communities thrive—one local solution at a time. -Bryan Conover, Executive Director Community Action Kentucky Community Action Partnership - National Office
