This year, we lost an incredible leader, mentor, and friend — our founder, Jesús “Chuy” Medrano. Yesterday, National Association of Landscape Professionals (NALP) recognized Chuy’s lifetime of impact by awarding him the Lifetime Achievement Award — the most prestigious honor in our industry. This award reflects not only his decades of dedication to excellence but also his unwavering commitment to opening doors for others, creating opportunities, and elevating the standards of landscape professionals across the country. While Chuy may no longer be with us, his legacy continues to grow through his three children and the incredible team he built.
