CAP Utah envisions an end to poverty in Utah - through its statewide network of 9 Community Action Agencies.
About us
Community Action Partnership of Utah (CAP Utah) is the statewide association of the Community Action Agencies in Utah. The Community Action Agencies in Utah envision an end to poverty. Our member agencies work toward this vision every day as we provide services to low-income families and individuals across the state. CAP Utah advocates for, supports, and provides training and technical assistance to Utah's CSBG funded agencies, utilizing our collective strength to address the causes of poverty. Our advocacy focuses on low-income housing and work supports. The Promise of Community Action: Community Action changes people’s lives, embodies the spirit of hope, improves communities, and makes America a better place to live. Today serves as a reminder that communities are strengthened not just by systems, policies, or programs, but by the people who choose to show up for one another. ❤️ The reality is that families can be doing everything right and still face unexpected moments where their budget simply can’t stretch far enough. 👉 In times like these, community support matters more than ever. Your generosity, whether it’s a small monthly gift or a one-time donation, helps ensure families around Utah have access to essentials, resources, and pathways toward stability. Every dollar fuels dignity, opportunity, and hope. We’re so grateful to see the work of Community Action featured in Deseret News! 🎉 The article highlights the recent kNOw Poverty Summit in Provo, where Utah leaders and community partners came together to explore new approaches and solutions to fighting poverty. We believe conversations like these matter because when different voices sit at the same table, collaboration becomes possible and solutions can begin to take shape. At CAP Utah, our focus is simple: supporting local strategies that help people build stability, access opportunity, and move toward long-term self-sufficiency. We’re so proud of our partners who help make this possible each and every day! 👉 If you’d like to read the article, visit https://bit.ly/43os5aU. #CAPUtah #DeseretNews #EndPoverty

On Veterans Day, we honor the courage, resilience, and service of the veterans in our communities. 🇺🇸 We also acknowledge that many veterans continue to face challenges long after their service ends, from housing instability and food insecurity to the ongoing effects of trauma. At CAP Utah, we remain committed to ensuring that veterans have access to the support, stability, and resources they deserve to move forward with dignity. ❤️ Today and every day, we extend our gratitude to those who have served and we invite our community to stand with veterans not just in recognition, but in action. If you know a veteran in need of support, CAP Utah’s statewide network is here to help connect them to services and resources. 📍Visit CAPUtah.org to find your local agency. #VeteransDay #ThankYouVeterans #CAPUtah

Before Utah became what we know today, this land was, and still is, home to the Ute, Navajo, Paiute, Shoshone, Goshute, and White Mesa Ute tribes. Their histories, traditions, and leadership continue to shape our shared future in powerful ways. This Native American Heritage Month, we honor the past, celebrate the present, and commit to a future rooted in respect, learning, and partnership with Indigenous communities. ❤️ #CAPUtah #NativeAmericanHeritageMonth #UtahHistory #IndigenousHeritage
