The Owners Voice to the Construction Industry
About us
Formed in the fall of 2000 by construction and engineering executives representing major corporations from across the United States, CURT's primary goal is to enact broad, effective owner representation and increased owner leadership on construction industry issues. Continuing the 30-year effort of the Construction Committee of the Business Roundtable, CURT provides a national forum for the exchange of information, views, practices and policies of construction users from an array of industries. An autonomous, not-for-profit organization, CURT strives to produce meaningful changes within the construction industry-promoting overall cost effectiveness; improving the way construction is planned, managed, justified and executed. Additionally, CURT works toward changing and improving what owners allow, require and accept responsibility for on their domestic and global construction projects.

Construction leaders are feeling the strain of delayed materials, scattered data, and schedules built on guesswork. In CURT’s newest blog, Jack Carrere—Co-Founder & CEO of Prokeep—breaks down why the jobsite-supplier communication gap continues to hold projects back, and what teams can do right now to fix it. From creating a common data language to leveraging advance shipping notices, structured work packaging, and ISO-aligned information management, Jack outlines practical, vendor-neutral steps that boost predictability, reduce rework, and keep crews truly “ready.” If you want projects that flow smoother, finish faster, and stay closer to budget, this is your playbook for turning communication into a competitive advantage. 👉 Read the full article: https://lnkd.in/gyNxykYy #Technology #ConstructionChallenges #Productivity #Communication #ConstructionSoftware #RiskManagement #ProjectDelays #Scheduling #InformationManagement

Everyone is speculating about what 2026 will bring. And Anirban Basu’s first Construction Industry talk of the year is happening at the CURT National Conference 2026—making this the perfect place to get ahead of the trends that will shape the year. After an incredibly active 2025, can the U.S. economy maintain its momentum, or will lingering uncertainty translate into the next recession? In this fast-paced, data-driven presentation, Anirban will break down the latest indicators in employment, housing, commercial real estate, financial markets, and economic output. Expect surprises, sharp insights, and maybe even a few laughs as we take a look at the present and attempt to predict the future. Anirban Basu is Chairman & CEO of Sage Policy Group, Inc., a Baltimore-based economic and policy consultancy he founded in 2004. He serves as Chief Economist for several major organizations, including the Maryland Bankers Association and Associated Builders and Contractors. The Baltimore Business Journal named him one of the region’s 20 most powerful business leaders, and in 2022, he was inducted into the Daily Record newspaper’s Circle of Influence. He is also the Distinguished Economist in Residence at Goucher College, where he teaches History of Economic Thought. Basu holds four graduate degrees, including a J.D. and a Ph.D. 🎟️ Don’t miss his 2026 kickoff — and save big expires December 1st! Get $500 OFF your CURT National Conference registration.
