The holidays remind us how powerful collective generosity can be, and our Denver team embraced that spirit wholeheartedly. Last week they came together to purchase several cartloads of donations for the annual Toys For Tots drive. The Denver office also supported the Denver Rescue Mission’s annual Turkey Drive by matching employee donations this year. In addition, the Denver charitable giving team contributed to five local food banks — Metro Caring, Weinberg Food Pantry at Jewish Family Service of Colorado, Community Table, Feeding Colorado, and Food Connect Colorado — helping provide care and comfort to families across the community. Thank you to everyone who helped brighten the season for our neighbors. ⭐

The S&P 500 climbed 3.7% during the holiday-shortened Thanksgiving week, marking its strongest weekly advance since May and securing a seventh consecutive monthly gain. Robust consumer spending is expected to further support U.S. economic growth in the fourth quarter. Meanwhile, U.S. interest rates edged lower in November as bond markets weighed economic conditions, inflation trends, and upcoming Fed decisions. 💡 Stay informed with insights from our Wealth Management Research team.

"Is AI in a bubble?" That’s the question I explored with my colleague Gil Luria, Managing Director and Head of Technology Research at D.A. Davidson. We discussed what’s driving AI investments, where the risks lie, and how major players like Microsoft, Amazon, Google, and Meta are approaching this fast-changing space. For everyday investors, understanding the difference between healthy growth and risky speculation is key. Watch our full conversation here: https://lnkd.in/gzPvyfj9 What do you think — is AI overhyped, or just beginning its transformational impact on the economy? Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at DA Davidson!

Markets pulled back in November as investors reduced risk, despite strong third-quarter earnings growth. Technology stocks led the decline, while Health Care and other sectors posted gains. With jobs data showing mixed signals and GDP due this week, volatility may persist into year-end. 💡 Stay informed with insights from our Wealth Management Research team.

Meet Ryan Barrett, Investment Associate at D.A. Davidson Trust Company. For him, the best part of the job is the chance to collaborate—learning from colleagues in different business units and building connections that make the work more meaningful. Outside of the office, Ryan enjoys giving back. One highlight was volunteering with First Tee of Greater Seattle at their Summer Solstice tournament, where he started setting up before sunrise and ended the day playing 18 holes at Chambers Bay. Supporting youth golf while spending a full day on the course made it an unforgettable experience. #FacesOfDADavidson
