On this #GivingTuesday, we’re celebrating a moment of extraordinary giving by our team members during the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. A group of 26 employees raised an astounding $10,891 for the Alzheimer's Association®! The team members represented Baltimore Gas and Electric, Pepco and Exelon and raised the donation during their walk at The Maryland Zoo with the support of their friends and families. Their efforts also contributed to the first year of the Baltimore walk raising over $1 million which will go towards Alzheimer’s care, support and research. We’re inspired by our team’s amazing contribution!

In advance of #SmallBusinessSaturday, we’re highlighting a small business we’re proud to have supported with an investment through our Community Impact Capital Fund (CICF). DIY Wellness, LLC is a holistic mental wellness coaching and therapy practice in the Baltimore area that received funds to help the founder build her dream of having a group practice with a physical location. The CICF is a $36 million investment initiative launched in partnership with global investment firm, Rock Creek. It was created to expand access to capital for businesses located in socio-economically disadvantaged communities in Exelon’s service areas. David Glockner, EVP of Compliance, Audit & Risk, will be stepping down at the end of the year. During his time at Exelon, David established best-in-class standards for compliance, ethics and accountability, deepened controls and risk management, and transformed our internal audit program. David will leave a lasting impact on Exelon and how we live our values with our employees, customers, and communities every day. We wish him the best in his next chapter.

We’re thankful for our 10.7 million customers and we know some of them are struggling with high energy costs. This year, we launched our $50 million Customer Relief Fund to help low- and middle- income customers in our communities. We’re proud to share that the fund has already provided more than $21 million in immediate assistance to more than 54,000 customers! While Exelon does not control the cost of energy supply, we look forward to continuing to find solutions to support the customers who need it most.
