  • Shoutout to Lionakis and San Juan Unified School District for the partnership on Katherine Johnson Middle School. Katherine Johnson once calculated the path that sent the first American into space. Now her name lives on in a campus built for students ready to reach new heights!

Lionakis recently completed two new single-story, campus-style middle schools for San Juan Unified School District. By strategically reusing building plans and collaborating closely with stakeholders, we delivered Katherine Johnson Middle School (55.6M, 65,360 SF) and Arcade Middle School (55M, 65,360 SF) at the same time, meeting an accelerated occupancy schedule for both campuses. Although the two schools share an efficient planning framework, each campus received a unique identity that reflects the needs and character of its community. Themes, configurations, and finishes were tailored for each school while maintaining consistency in quality and performance. Both campuses include modern learning environments such as classrooms, a multi-purpose room, an administration building, a library, and a science and elective building. Each campus was designed to serve approximately 650 students and to support a welcoming, student-centered middle school experience.

Elk Grove High School has a fresh new energy after a five-year modernization that took place while campus life kept moving. Working with Elk Grove Unified School District and Lionakis, the transformation introduced a new Culinary Arts Building, Administration/Classroom Building, Classroom Building, Hummingbird Athletics Facility, and Agriculture CTE Building—along with refreshed classrooms and campus-wide upgrades that support student learning, school spirit, and everyday connection. Thank you to our design and engineering partners: Warren Consulting Engineers, Inc., Weston & Associates Mechanical Engineers, Inc., Roach & Campbell. We are proud to support a campus that puts students and community at the heart of every space.

FLINT Trades Day 2025 is in the books! 👷♂️💪 Every year, we dedicate this company-wide day to strengthening our culture of Safety, Quality, and Efficiency. This year was extra special — we were joined by Tony Hernandez from the Nor Cal Carpenters Union, who shared an inspiring message on leadership. The day also featured engaging presentations from our foremen and fun, hands-on stations led by our amazing team members and partners. We had four interactive stations focused on Fall Protection with Industrial Safety Products Inc., Struck-By Hazards, Equipment Inspections, and Field Technology, giving everyone a chance to learn, connect, and sharpen their skills together.
