Team members were grateful to join hundreds of neighbors at Good Friends Charlotte's 39th Gather to Give Luncheon, a tradition that shows how small gifts, when combined, can transform lives across our city. And yes… that's our very own Doug Benson serving as Santa to help collect donations! #FFTC

The Family Meal at The Relatives is a unique opportunity to connect with youth, hear their stories and see firsthand the programs helping them thrive. Guests can share a meal with young people, meet the staff who guide and mentor them and learn about ways to get involved in supporting their growth. Programs like this show how connection, mentorship and shared experiences can make a real difference in a young person’s life. Excited to continue this journey together in 2026! 🤝
“We cannot become what we need by remaining what we are. Change is inevitable. Growth is optional." - Unknown Gathered with other nonprofit leaders last night to commemorate the successful launch and continuation of the “Agility Series”, sponsored by Foundation For The Carolinas, Lee Institute, SHARE Charlotte and the United Way of Greater Charlotte. The series was created to help nonprofits navigate challenges like funding shifts and build resilience and agility. Certainly, those who engaged came away with more confidence in their ability to navigate the uncertainties ahead. But if nothing else, experienced a sense of togetherness and acknowledgment. Looking forward to its evolution in 2026!

At our most recent FFTC Connects event, we encouraged attendees to bring canned goods for Angels & Sparrows, and our community showed up in a big way. Together, we collected 897 pounds of food for Angels and Sparrows which equates to approximately $3,110 in savings for the organization! Thank you for helping support families across our community. Your contributions reflect the power of coming together with purpose and compassion. #FFTC

Happy Giving Tuesday everyone! Today is a day to lift up the nonprofits and causes that matter most to you. If an organization is doing work you believe in, this is the perfect moment to show your support in whatever way feels meaningful. "What is Philanthropy" by FFTC’s Yvette Byrd celebrates the people who inspire us with their generosity and commitment to positive change. Your impact matters whether you give your time, talent or resources. To the changemakers in our community, thank you for the difference you make. We are grateful for your support and proud to stand with you as we continue building a brighter future together. #FFTC #GivingTuesdayCLT #GivingTuesdaycampaign #GivingTuesday

Thank you to everyone who joined us for FFTC Connects: Feeding Families & Growing Communities. The conversation highlighted one of our region’s most urgent needs: expanding access to healthy and affordable food for all families. We were grateful to spotlight organizations leading this work with innovative and community centered solutions including Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina (SHMETROLINA), Three Sisters Market, The Bulb and The Carolina Farms Fund. Their dedication continues to shape a stronger and more resilient food system for our community. ---------------------------- Did you miss our FFTC Connects: Feeding Families & Growing Communities? Across our region, this year has brought unexpected challenges – and through it all, you have responded in inspiring ways. From continued Hurricane Helene recovery to rising community needs and interruptions in SNAP benefits, many families and organizations have felt the impact of these events. Through it all, our fundholders and local nonprofits have stepped up to support those who need it most. In just one week, our fundholders granted more than $160K to local food banks responding to the SNAP benefits interruption. And throughout the year, fundholders have granted more than $800 million to support 3,700+ nonprofits in our region and beyond. We remain committed to uplifting the nonprofits at the center of this work, and we are grateful to every single person helping our community meet rising needs with compassion and determination. 📸 Giving Back: The Soul of Philanthropy Reframed and Exhibited #FFTC
