AI + Robotics for the Built World
About us
Gecko Robotics is the pioneer of AI + Robotics [AIR technology], transforming how the world builds, operates, and maintains its most critical infrastructure for a more reliable and sustainable future. Using fixed sensors and robots that climb, crawl, swim, and fly, we combine first-order data layers with the predictive power of AI into a single source of truth for the physical world. Cantilever® is our operating platform, powered by AIR technology, that empowers teams to achieve operational excellence through actionable data for immediate and long-term planning. Improve operations. Optimize capital outlay. Extend asset life. That's our promise.

This is Ed Bryner, and this guy just became the CTO of Gecko Robotics. Ed joined Gecko in 2016 as a founding engineer. Let me tell you about the talent and character of Ed through a Gecko folk tale: It was 2018, and I got a call at 10 pm over a holiday weekend from, our now, head of BD, Ryan Herman. He was in a FirstEnergy power plant doing an inspection, but nothing was working. The customer is yelling in his face and needs to get the data because the power plant just had a forced outage and they need to turn it back to deliver power to local residents. So I called Ed. Without blinking, he dropped everything, and we drove 2.5 hours arriving at the power plant at 1am. We then fixed the robot and collected data for the next 8 hrs. Ed then validated the data and delivered it to the customer, who was breathing down our necks. That data saved the power plant forced outages later that winter. We drove back. We were exhausted. But in that moment, I knew the person next to me was special. Since that day, Ed has been the true leader at Gecko in building technology for the people who make the world go around. The people who defend our freedoms. He has led a world-class team to deliver technology to the gritty souls Silicon Valley forgot about. He's a badass engineer. It is with great pride that today he becomes Gecko's Chief Technology Officer and leads our growing army other badass engineers who are building the products and solutions for a mission that is bigger than us all. Ed Bryner, congrats, and we now enter a new phase of driving things forward together. I'd have it no other way.

Jake Loosararian, Co-Founder and CEO of Gecko Robotics, shared insights on the future of AI and robotics during the panel “The AI Impact: Transforming the Global Energy System” at the ADIPEC Strategic Conference. “The conversation around algorithms has been heavily focused on AI, especially with the ChatGPT moment. But in the next few years, we expect a similar moment for robotics. Where there are AI officers today, there will be robotics officers in the next few years.” From executive-level policy and investment sessions to debate panels and case studies, the ADIPEC Conferences deliver a comprehensive programme designed to help you navigate complexity and unlock long-term value. Be where the energy world meets at ADIPEC from 2–5 November 2026. Register today: https://bit.ly/3LKWOZy #ADIPEC #ADNOC #GlobalEnergy #EnergyTransformation #EnergyLeadership

Too many AI companies are not delivering an ROI for their customers. The winners and losers in the AI race will be determined by those who collect data to drive impactful insights. Hear what Jake Loosararian discussed with Jon Fortt on Fortt Knox.

I'm pleased to announce my first Gecko Robotics tech blog! I've spent the past few years of my career building Forecast: Cantilever's™ primary frontend. Doing so has required work across the stack, from designing the data model to picking (and re-picking) web-optimized data formats... from React feature work to UI componentization. This is the story of my favorite contribution- a client-side 2D/3D renderer called AssetViz. Special thanks to Nadia Koshima, a major contributor, in addition to the entire Enterprise team. If you're interested in one small part of the story of Cantilever™ or just learning a few WebGL tricks, give it a read and let me know what you think! #react #threejs #webgl #techblog #frontend
"Gecko Robotics is in the business of transforming the built world into high-fidelity digital models, from atoms to bits, as we often put it. Doing this at the scale of millions of data points per asset requires clever engineering across the stack—from data collection through processing on to the client-facing frontend." Read the next edition of Notes from the Lab by Patrick Celentano, all about the data and asset visualization tools developed for our Cantilever operating platform.
