As multi-agent workloads grow in depth and complexity, one question becomes central: How do these systems decide what to do? Our latest Kite AInsights article by our Researcher Kevin Ros, explores the frameworks behind that process. As tasks grow more complex and agents become more specialized, planning determines whether systems can translate broad goals into coordinated action. The question is no longer “Can agents solve tasks?” It’s “Can they decompose, delegate, and execute effectively?” At the core of this work is Agent-Oriented Planning (AOP), guided by three decomposition principles: ☑️ Solvability: each subtask can be handled by a single agent ☑️ Completeness: tasks fully cover the user’s goal ☑️ Non-Redundancy: no duplicates or irrelevant work The meta-agent plays the coordinating role interpreting the query, distributing tasks, and refining the plan through: • A Detector to catch missing or redundant subtasks • A Reward Model to evaluate subtask solvability The result? AOP delivers ~10% higher accuracy vs. single-agent baselines, and ~4% over naive multi-agent setups. Planning is becoming the connective tissue for multi-agent systems - defining how they structure, coordinate, and complete complex workflows. Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/ghA56P4p

We're thrilled to announce a new investment from Coinbase Ventures. This funding extends our recent Series A round led by PayPal Ventures and General Catalyst, and will accelerate development of our infrastructure for autonomous AI agent payments and adoption of the x402 protocol. Kite is now natively integrated with the x402 Agent Payment Standard, positioning itself as a primary execution and settlement layer for the protocol. As one of the first L1s to fully implement x402-compatible payment primitives, Kite allows AI agents to seamlessly send, receive, and reconcile payments through standardized intent mandates, unlocking the full potential of the agentic economy. Coinbase Ventures' investment will support Kite’s continued product and infrastructure development across three converging market shifts shaping the autonomous economy: ✅ The Need for a Programmable Trust Layer ✅ Scalable Blockchain with the x402 Protocol as the Native Payment Rail for AI ✅ The Rise of Agentic Commerce as a Growth Engine The future of the agentic economy is here, and we're proud to have Coinbase Ventures supporting us on this groundbreaking journey. Why do we need a purpose-built blockchain for agentic payments? Because AI agents are now smart enough to operate autonomously, and they need their own rails to transact with each other. Watch the video to see what that looks like in action: A real agent, built on Kite AI, helped our CTO Scott Shi order lunch from Uber Eats fully on its own. It explored menu options, made the choice, and completed the payment - all without human intervention. This marks the beginning of agentic commerce and the future of agentic payments - and Kite AI is building this.

Why did Amazon win? Because they built rails for Web2 commerce, not just a store. Every wave of the internet needed new infrastructure: • Web 1: Read-only static pages  → HTTP/HTML • Web 2: Read-write interactive platforms → databases & APIs • Mobile: Apps became the new browsers → app stores & payment rails • Agentic: Software that acts autonomously → identity, attribution & settlement. Amazon wasn’t a bookstore. They built the foundation for online commerce. Kite AI isn’t payments. We’re building the trust layer infrastructure for agentic internet.

We’re back with a new edition of Kite AInsights. This time, our researcher Kevin Ros explores one of the hardest problems in the agentic internet - trust. As agents gain autonomy and handle higher-stakes decisions, trust becomes the new bottleneck for adoption. The question isn’t “Can agents act?” It’s “Can we trust them to?” The latest research introduces the TrustAgent Framework, which breaks trust down into two parts: ☑️ Intrinsic Trustworthiness - reasoning, memory, and tool use ☑️ Extrinsic Trustworthiness - agent-to-agent, agent-to-user, and agent-to-environment Each layer reveals new risks - from memory poisoning and malicious tool use to colluding agents. If multi-agent systems are to scale safely, trust must be built in, not added later. Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/gmB89pWu
