Great property managers don’t just manage properties; they master owner relationships. In this episode of Hosts Ask Hosts, David Angotti (former Chief Evangelist at Guesty, now Chief Digital Officer at Casago) and Eric Gonzalez, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Beach Please - Rentals & Management, break down how to navigate owners who want control over the very levers they hired you to manage. Sometimes the best relationships start with being honest about fit. As David explains, understanding the whole puzzle - not just one piece - is what creates real value and brings real returns. When owners trust your expertise, it unlocks smoother operations for everyone. Watch the full episode here: https://lnkd.in/dTERjyNE

The STR industry loves a shiny new tool. But after a whirlwind October full of AI launches, platform updates and tax shifts, our EMEA Marketing Manager Team Lead, Visar Gerbeshi hit the nail on the head: Operators don’t want more tech. They want their time back. Here’s what many operators are navigating right now: Too many systems, not enough sync: Workflow fragmentation is still one of the biggest drags on efficiency. Owner expectations are skyrocketing: They benchmark everything: margins, pacing, guest comms, response times. Trust is the new differentiator. AI isn’t magical - it’s mathematical: If your data is messy, AI won’t have real impact. Clean inputs → real outputs. Growth now means efficiency, not expansion, and the teams performing best aren’t adding more complexity - they’re auditing what they already have. So we pulled together a simple framework inspired by those emerging themes: 4 essentials to review before 2026. Swipe through our recommendations below. Want to hear more from Visar? He'll be speaking in ShortTermRentalz upcoming 2026 Trends webinar on December 9, where he'll be diving into how AI is redefining guest experience. Save your spot here: https://lnkd.in/eUqDkjbP

As the year wraps, this message from GuestyVal is even more important: most operators are using just a fraction of the tech they already pay for. If you’re only tapping 40% of your tools, you’re only capturing 40% of the growth they can drive. Now’s the moment to pause, revisit your PMS, and rediscover the 260+ features added this year. Do more with what you already have, and set up 2026 with intention, not overload. Featuring Yoav Tourel, Jeremy Gall, Jean-Paul Godfroy & Dawn Yeskulsky, STR ※ SME

We’re excited to spotlight our partnership with Host Wise | Property Management, one of Portugal’s most influential real estate asset management companies and the leading operator in Porto and the northern region. As they move into their next phase of growth, their needs are evolving. Their business is becoming more complex. And their systems must scale with them. That’s where our partnership deepens. From advanced automation to an open, flexible API, Guesty is proud to support Host Wise as they continue expanding across Portugal - sustainably, efficiently, and with the guest experience at the center. At #DARM2025, Simon Lehmann and Vered Raviv Schwarz took AI out of the abstract and into reality - into the people, structures, and behaviors that actually determine whether AI works inside an organization. They explored how teams absorb AI, how roles evolve as routine work disappears, and why guests now prioritize speed, accuracy, and personalization over who (or what) delivers it. If you’re at DARM, come find us at the Guesty booth to talk through how our AI tools can streamline workflows, boost revenue, and simplify the day-to-day for your team.

It’s not every day you get this many industry heavyweights in one room. At #DARM2025, Vered Raviv Schwarz (Guesty), Jeremy Gall (Breezeway), Dennis Goedheid ❤️ (Casiola vacation homes), Andrew Kitchell (Wheelhouse), Nir Maimon (The Maimon Group), and Odus (Boogie) Wittenburg (TravelNet Solutions), moderated by Simon Lehmann (AJL Atelier), tackled one of the most pressing questions in STR tech: what happens when AI starts moving faster than the systems operators built their businesses on? Vered summed up the challenge perfectly: “Technology is moving so quickly that the priorities you set today may not be right in six months. We have to reassess our map and adapt.” It was the kind of session that doesn’t end when the panel wraps, shaping the conversations (and plans) that follow. And that’s why the industry comes to DARM every year: for the forward-looking discussions that move us all ahead.

If today’s sessions have you thinking about AI…wait until you see what we’re demoing at the Guesty booth. If you’re at DARM and want to see how AI can shape your 2026 roadmap, or how Guesty is already helping operators unlock new efficiency and revenue, be sure to come by the booth before the end of the day. Our team is here, ready to talk shop, answer every AI question you’ve been saving, and hand out some very cozy holiday-season swag while we’re at it.
