The Hensel Phelps SEA Gateway project team recently had a large turnover that deserved a celebration. They received TCO earlier this month for the new security lanes, which brings them one step closer to increasing and enhancing Alaska Airlines' security checkpoints. The team of over 40 employees took over two suite boxes at Climate Pledge Arena and spent the night laughing at comedian Nate Bargatze's comedy show. #UpgradeSEA #AviationConstruction #BuildingTogether

Congratulations to our SEA Baggage Optimization Phase 2 team on winning two awards from the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA)! The team was awarded the Project of the Year from CMAA’s Pacific Northwest Regional Committee and the Project Achievement Award in the Transportation greater than $50 million category from CMAA’s National Committee. The project involves a major infrastructure upgrade at SEA—replacing the outdated conveyor system with a new, centralized baggage screening and handling system. By consolidating six separate baggage screening systems into one, expanding screening capacity and improving operational efficiency, it enhances security, increases capacity and improves the passenger experience at one of the nation’s busiest airports. This upgrade ensures SEA can meet both current and future growth demands.
