Updates

  • Prior authorization delays continue to drive clinician frustration, patient dissatisfaction, and revenue leakage, and the stakes are only increasing as volumes rise and payer requirements evolve. AI has already proven its value in reducing turnaround times and minimizing denials, and we’re excited to bring this conversation to Elion’s AI RCM Summit in Nashville. Humata Health and Michael Kolb will be joining industry peers to share real-world insights on how intelligent automation can streamline prior auth and strengthen the overall revenue cycle. Can’t wait to contribute to the dialogue and learn from so many forward-thinking provider leaders.

𝗠𝘆𝘁𝗵: “𝘕𝘰𝘣𝘰𝘥𝘺 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘴 𝘞𝘐𝘚𝘦𝘙 𝘺𝘦𝘵.” 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: The model is clearer than people think— and it goes live January 1st. Michael Kolb breaks down what you need to know about WISeR in 2 minutes. Here’s what you actually need to know: • It targets select high-cost outpatient CPT codes • Providers must work through an approved vendor • CMS has already published detailed guidance • And support exists to get you ready now Instead of sorting through 61 pages yourself, we’ve done your homework for you— blogs, videos, and quick breakdowns designed to make WISeR simple at https://lnkd.in/dgAC7kiS ➡️ 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸’𝘀 𝗪𝗜𝗦𝗲𝗥 𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗿𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻. #WISeR #WISeRReadiness #FrictionlessPriorAuth #BuiltForYes #PriorAuth #WISeRWednesday

  • Prior authorization can’t keep operating the way it has for the last three decades. Fax machines, spreadsheets, and Post-it notes aren’t built for the demands of modern care. As Jeremy Friese, MD explains, the future of PA has to be 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗺𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 for both patients and providers — creating a process that lowers administrative waste and supports appropriate, evidence-based care. That vision is at the core of 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵™. Humata replaces outdated manual workflows with intelligent automation, real-time connectivity, and evidence-driven decisions. ➡️ Watch the full interview to hear more on WISeR, the future of prior auth, and what it takes to modernize these workflows: https://lnkd.in/dGr4Mkbk #HealthTech #PriorAuthorization #HealthcareInnovation #Interoperability #Automation #FrictionlessPriorAuth

  • 📣 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗴: 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗪𝗜𝗦𝗲𝗥 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 CMS’s WISeR Model goes live January 1, 2026 — and providers are facing new expectations around documentation, review timelines, and identifying which cases fall under the model. In the first installment of our three-part WISeR series, we break down what providers need to understand now, including: • Which services, diagnoses, and sites are actually in scope • How to flag WISeR-eligible cases at the time of order • The difference between optional prior auth and prepayment review • Key dates and what they mean for operational readiness If you’re navigating the 61-page CMS manual, this is a clear place to start. 👉 Read Part 1: What WISeR Really Means for Providers 🔗 https://lnkd.in/dd52f3dv

  • Big thinking, real connection, and a whole lot of collaboration. Last week our engineering team gathered in our Winter Park office for an in-person Engineering Summit focused on innovation, problem-solving, and building what comes next for Humata. From technical deep dives to whiteboard brainstorming to refining the ideas that will shape our platform in 2025, the energy was all about creating smarter and more seamless ways to support providers and patients. We are grateful for the people behind the technology driving Humata’s mission. When talented engineers come together with a shared purpose, great things happen. #HumataHealth #EngineeringSummit #HealthTech #DigitalHealth #TeamHumata #Innovation

  • 🚀 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟯𝟬 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆. According to Jeremy Friese, MD, CEO of Humata Health, there are four key things that need to happen for the future of prior auth to look and feel very different from today. The challenge? Nearly 30 states each have their own legislation, and every payer has its own process. Health systems are left trying to navigate an unscalable maze of rules. Dr. Friese outlines what it will take to change that: 1️⃣ 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀: because almost no health system practices in just one. 2️⃣ 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗴𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗜: pulling together every piece of the puzzle. 3️⃣ 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: to replace fragmented, state-by-state oversight. 4️⃣ 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗗.𝗖. 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀: because real change takes all of us. Each piece moves us closer to a world where prior auth is simpler, faster, and built to last.  💬 What do you think will have the biggest impact by 2030?
