Our employees support clients and policyholders every day through their work, but their impact doesn’t stop there. They also show up in their communities, giving time to various meaningful causes. December 5 is International Volunteer Day, and we’re proud to recognize our colleagues who have contributed more than 1,300 hours of service in 2025 through illumfin’s WeAct program. WeAct gives employees up to eight paid hours a year to support organizations of their choice. From stocking food pantries and assembling care packages to helping in classrooms, organizing blood drives, and cleaning up local highways, our team is strengthening the communities they call home. To all of our illumifin volunteers, thank you for the role you play in making the world a better place.

Many Americans say they want to age in place, but the real cost of doing so is often misunderstood. In a recent feature, Realtor.com uses the latest illumifin Cost of Care Study to highlight how quickly expenses for in-home support can grow, and why early planning matters. Our annual Cost of Care Study provides carriers, advisors, and families with a clear, data-driven view of these trends so they can plan with greater confidence. Read the article to learn how housing, care needs, and rising costs all intersect for today’s—and tomorrow’s—retirees. https://lnkd.in/evZe-g7e

Every day at illumifin, we see the vital role caregivers play—especially for policyholders with Alzheimer’s and other dementias. During the recent LTCIF 2025 Conference, our vice president of claim operations, Paula Johnson, LSW, moderated a panel exploring the importance of “caring for the caregivers” in partnership with the Alzheimer's Association®. Inspiring firsthand accounts from caregivers highlighted how the right support and resources—like the Alzheimer’s Association 24/7 Helpline—can make all the difference on a difficult journey. Conversations like this move the industry forward and reinforce our commitment to ensuring our clients’ policyholders and their families have what they need to care for the people they love. Special thanks to Kinsey McManus, MA, MSW, Tina Rodrigues, and Jodie Khotim for sharing your personal experiences. We’re also grateful to the Long Term Care International Forum leadership team, including our own Amy Chambers, LTCP, for including this important topic in this year’s LTCIF agenda. #LongTermCare #Caregivers #Eldercare #DementiaCare

As families and friends gather for Thanksgiving, it’s a perfect time to evaluate long-term care and other insurance policies to ensure they’re accessible and up to date. In a new Certification for Long-Term Care (CLTC) article, Sharon Reed, illumifin’s LTC claims leader, explains how organizing key documents and understanding benefit triggers, elimination periods, and other policy details can provide peace of mind and speed next steps when it’s time to make a claim. During this season of gratitude, we encourage everyone to make time for a quick policy checkup and to share this guidance with loved ones, clients, policyholders, and others. A few minutes today creates confidence for the future.

Fraud is a large and growing issue in the insurance space, and technologies like AI are making it easier for bad actors to run new schemes. At illumifin, detecting and combating fraud is a core part of the work we do every day to protect our clients and their policyholders. And as fraud evolves, so do we. This International Fraud Awareness Week (Nov 16–22), we're recognizing the expertise of our fraud services team, led by Jeffrey Ferrand. Drawing on illumifin’s scale as a leading insurance administrator, the team blends real-time analytics with investigations to surface risk earlier, connect industry patterns, and resolve cases faster. Because we fold what we learn back into daily operations, safeguards get stronger with every claim. To learn more about illumifin’s Fraud Sentry program please reach out to jeffferrand@illumifin.com. Information about the global impact of fraud, can be found by visiting the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) Fraud Week resources: https://lnkd.in/dDKAYAW.
