We want to honor Charles “Chuck” Wilson, the founder of Ernest, who recently passed away at 101. Chuck built Ernest from the ground up, but his impact stretched far beyond the business. He grew up during the Depression, earned a Purple Heart and a Gold Star in World War II, raised a family, served on the board of Cedars-Sinai, and kept showing up to work even after 100 years old. His story reads like a map of determination and service. For nearly two decades, we had the rare opportunity to work with him and help document parts of his story. Few founders remain so engaged for so long, and even fewer allow you to capture a legacy from childhood through war, through entrepreneurship, and into a century of leadership. We’re grateful for the partnership and for the example Chuck set. May Chuck’s memory be a blessing.
