Big news for a project that means a lot to us! Boise State’s new ESI Construction Management Building just received a national design award: 2025 Outstanding Project by Learning By Design Magazine. With the mass timber structure now standing and construction moving steadily toward completion, this facility is already showing the impact it’s designed to make - a hands-on, national-benchmark learning environment for the next generation of builders and industry leaders. Designed around real-world learning, industry engagement, and student belonging, the 18,252-sf facility includes exposed systems, flexible classrooms and labs, a high-bay structure, and bright, community-focused spaces that celebrate Boise State’s CM culture. We can’t wait to see this one open its doors. Boise State University Boise State College of Engineering DESIGN TEAM -- Civil/Landscape: The Land Group, Inc. Creativity. Competition. Career Development. Each year, Lombard/Conrad teams up with the University of Idaho College of Art and Architecture to host our Interior Design Portfolio Competition—a showcase of bold ideas and fresh perspectives from junior-year students. This year’s winner, Emily Fisher, a now senior at U of I, wowed the judges with thoughtfulness and a fresh perspective on what interior design can be. Her prize? An expense-paid week in Boise job shadowing at our firm, getting a behind-the-scenes look at how projects come to life and experiencing the world of public facility design in action. Our prize? More proof that the future of design is bright, friends. #interiordesign #highereducation #nextgen #designcareers #publicarchitecture College of Art and Architecture - University of Idaho

We recently celebrated the retirement of Scott Wendell, an industry legend among us. After 35+ years as a Lombard/Conrad architect (19 as an owner), Scott is putting down his drawing tools to enjoy some quality time with his family and hobbies. His quiet, head-down dedication to architectural quality, reverence for public spaces, and sincere care for coworkers and clients alike are the very essence of what our firm stands for. We will miss his talent, creativity, and wisdom. Thank you, Scott, from all of us at Lombard/Conrad! A little sneak peek at the Nez Perce County Courthouse. For seven years, this project has been in the works. It is a true testament to the power of collaboration. Our design team worked hand-in-hand with the County and contractor to create a stunning justice facility that the growing community of Lewiston and surrounding towns deserve. We look forward to showing you the finished result very soon! Leone & Keeble, Inc Kenaston Corporation My Architect Michael Terrell - Landscape Architecture, PLLC Keller Associates, Inc. Happy Birthday, Idaho! A major pride point for Lombard/Conrad is our long-running partnership with the State of Idaho. We proudly carry the architectural stamp on the original design of the Pete T. Cenarrusa Building, Idaho's first government office tower. Designed in the early 70s, this marked the first project our firm did with the State and a turning point in our history. We attribute our concerted focus on public work to this very project. To date, we have completed or are working on 100+ state projects . . . from small remodels, to complex expansions, to award-winning buildings for Idaho's education, healthcare, correctional, and civic agencies. To be part of Idaho's history in such a tangible way is an honor our team celebrates today and every day. #happybirthdayidaho #july3

As a 53-year-old Boise-based firm, our partnership with the City of Boise is important to us . . . and it just got stronger than ever. One of our principals and firm leaders, Matt Geserick, has been selected to serve on the city's Design Review Commission. Alongside a handful of other architects, landscape architects, engineers, and artists, Matt will diligently review proposed building designs to ensure they not only conform to planning and zoning code but improve the urban fabric of the city we all love. When it comes to his qualifications for this role, Matt says it best: "I'm proud to be an architect with a passion for public architecture, and I'm even prouder to be a Boisean. This is an honor." #idahoarchitecture #thisisboise #publicarchitecture

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, one of our long-term healthcare clients, recently added a new imaging suite featuring the state-of-the-art Philips Bi-Plane machine. The investment in this advanced piece of imaging equipment reaffirms Saint Alphonsus' place as a regional destination for treating complex neurological conditions . . . and it was the first time installed in any medical facility in the country! Our healthcare team designed a space to fully support the treatment of in- and out-patients in one designated area, finally giving this critical specialty the home it deserves. #healthcaredesign #healthcarearchitects Saint Alphonsus
