Last week’s LRN Client Networking event at the Tokyo American Club brought together senior ethics and compliance professionals from across Japan for an evening of meaningful dialogue and shared insights. The event created a space for thoughtful discussion on the evolving expectations shaping today’s programs, from the role of modern codes of conduct to the realities of global enforcement and everyday governance challenges. These conversations underscored a shared commitment to building programs that are principled, consistent, and culturally grounded. We also shared key findings from the 2025 Code of Conduct Report Japan Edition, which benchmarks code effectiveness and explores how codes influence ethical decision-making across today’s complex workplace. Many important questions surfaced throughout the evening. While we couldn’t address all of them live, our Chief Advisory Officer Ty Francis MBE, CCEP, sat down with Dean R. Rogers, Senior Vice President for APAC, for a follow-up written Q&A—offering clarity and practical guidance on the issues that matter most to this community. We look forward to continuing these conversations and partnering with organizations across Japan to strengthen ethical cultures and inspire principled performance. 🔗 Read the full Q&A here: EN: https://bit.ly/4pceNHj JP: https://bit.ly/48gbQ2u Ty Francis MBE, CCEP | Dean R.
