Exclusive: Zafran Security, an Israeli threat management startup, has raised $60 million. The round, led by Menlo Ventures, with participation from Sequoia and Cyberstarts, brings the the company's total funding to $130 million. CEO Sanaz Yashar, whose work as a former cyber spy helped inspire the Apple TV show "Tehran," told CNBC that Zafran plans to use the funding to strengthen capabilities as AI accelerates the pace and sophistication of cyberattacks. It’s “becoming much more severe than it was even a year ago,” she said.
