  • This Giving Tuesday, we’re proud to share OhioHealth associates have donated more than $1 million during WE Give 2025, our annual workplace giving campaign. We're celebrating a special anniversary, too — 25 years of associate giving! It’s a testament to our mission in action to support each other and the communities we serve. These generous contributions help improve patient care through nursing scholarships, innovative medical research, well-being resources for our teams and vital community outreach programs to advance access to care for all. Contributions also benefit our neighbors through the United Way, with funding that stays local to support nonprofit organizations and agencies. With deep gratitude, thank you to all who donated. 💙 #OhioHealthForAll #GivingTuesday

  • Building trust between patient and provider is one of the first steps in the healthcare journey. The OhioHealth Wellness on Wheels (WOW) mobile unit is designed to meet this need from the moment it arrives in a neighborhood. Jennifer Roncone, DO, OB-GYN, and the WOW team understand that effective healthcare goes beyond a medical check-up. To build a foundation of trust on the mobile units, community health workers and social workers address crucial social determinants of health. This collaborative approach ensures that women and their families receive comprehensive support and access to community health resources which fosters lasting trust and helps improve health outcomes. • It’s the season of thanksgiving — and our associates are sharing what they’re grateful for at OhioHealth. From teammates to patient care and the culture that brings us together, there’s plenty to be thankful for this year. Wishing you a week filled with gratitude for the big and small things. 🤍

  • For those with blood cancers and disorders like leukemia, having a donor match for stem cell or blood and marrow transplants (BMT) can be life changing. However, primarily due to misconceptions about the donor process, equity in donor match availability varies greatly across ethnicities in the U.S. Some misconceptions about BMT and stem cell donations: 🚫 These are NOT organ donations. 🚫 Standard transplants DO NOT use embryonic stem cells — they use stem cells from bone marrow or peripheral blood. 🚫 Not all transplants require surgery. 90% of donations use apheresis, an outpatient process similar to donating plasma or platelets. More diversity in the registry helps everyone. Even if you register and are never called, you’re still making a difference by simply being in the system for the National Marrow Donor Program. Read more about the difference between BMT and stem cell transplants: ohlth.co/43ATdDF.
