SRA recently attended the construction kickoff for the North Campus Student Housing and Wellness Center, a major addition to the California State University San Marcos community and developed by Sea Breeze Properties. Located in North City San Diego, the residential portion of this 310,000 SF development offers study lounges, a community kitchen, game rooms, quiet spaces, and a generous outdoor terrace. Its wellness and recreation areas add athletic courts, weight training spaces, a rooftop soccer pitch, sports-focused multipurpose rooms, and dedicated wellness and mental health resource spaces. Together, these elements enrich student life and support the continued growth of San Marcos’ vibrant North City district. Today, the new Pittsburgh International Airport terminal officially opened its doors—welcoming passengers into a space designed by and for Pittsburgh 💛 This milestone marks the start of a faster, smoother and more connected travel experience. From streamlined security and improved baggage delivery to new dining/retail options, accessible design and upgraded parking, the new terminal reflects years of teamwork and community vision. PIT CEO Christina A Cassotis captured the moment perfectly: “Pittsburgh deserved a wonderful front door to a wonderful community… You can see it and feel it. This is us—and now we can look forward.” Opening Day Highlights: ✈️ United Flight 794 from San Francisco became the first arrival into the new terminal at 5:15 a.m., greeted with celebrations and PIT-branded keepsakes. ✈️ At 3 a.m., passenger Keith Spruill unknowingly became the first traveler to walk into the new facility. 🎉 PIT teams gave the unanimous “go live” at 2 a.m. after years of planning and preparation. 🚆 The PIT train made its final journey, officially retiring after 33 years as roadway traffic shifted to the new terminal. 🥳 Passengers arriving just after midnight became the last to experience the old landside terminal—closing one chapter as a new one opened. 🛬 Monday evening marked the final international arrivals and last train rides, with passengers and staff honoring decades of airport history. Today isn’t just about a building—it’s about a region shaping its future. The new PIT is a gateway built to connect people, possibilities, and Pittsburgh to the world.
