OUR MISSION The mission of Pasadena ISD, the gateway to unlimited opportunity for the youth of our culturally rich community, is to empower students to become accomplished, self-directed, and collaborative citizen-scholars who boldly contribute to an increasingly complex and evolving world by engaging in rigorous curriculum, relevant experiences, and positive relationships while embracing the uniqueness of each individual. Our outstanding teachers and innovative programs have created an endless cycle of student achievement. With state recognized campuses, along with state and national Blue Ribbon Schools, and a history of national championships in Academic Decathlon and the National Academic Games, students in our schools thrive intellectually and socially in a dynamic learning environment. Today, Principal Erica Kirk of Sparks Elementary and her entire staff were honored as the #7 Gold Ribbon Elementary School by Children At Risk, recognizing their unwavering fight for equity and excellence in high-poverty schools!!⭐ With passionate educators, dedicated support staff, and programs like Leader in Me, Sparks is helping students grow in purpose, confidence, and future goals. We also want to give a special shoutout to Morris Middle School, who was also honored today by Children At Risk for their fight against inequity. Yesterday, we celebrated our Pasadena ISD campuses recognized as America’s Healthiest Schools. We are especially proud of our six All-Star campuses, honored for being exemplary in every category. Out of just 168 All-Star campuses nationwide, six are right here in Pasadena ISD. Our All-Star awardees also participated in a panel to share their knowledge with representatives from across the district. Thank you to our Health & Wellness team for their continued support in promoting healthy habits across our campuses. 💪🍏
