This week, the Philadelphia Police Department donated 2 tons of food to Philabundance! Officers across the city collected non-perishable items for our neighbors and dropped off their donations just before Giving Tuesday. Over 15 police vehicles filled with food made the delivery to our South Philadelphia warehouse, where the boxes will be sorted and prepared to be distributed to local food pantries, shelters, community centers, and other sites. The Philabundance Community Kitchen (PCK) offers a 16-week culinary training program for adults who qualify for public benefits. PCK’s next in-person open house will be held tomorrow, November 25, at 10 a.m. for those interested in learning more! Attendance at one open house is required to apply for the program.
