Some projects take you to rooftops. Others take you into mechanical rooms. And occasionally… they take you under the building after hours. Our Arizona team was conducting a site visit for Maricopa County last night and it led them through some pretty tight spaces beneath the floor. Engineering isn’t always glamorous, but when the work calls for it, our team is ready to go wherever the system leads and have fun doing it! #MechanicalEngineering #SiteVisit #MechanicalAssessment

Exciting things are coming to the west-side of Salt Lake City and we’re thrilled to play a part in this chapter of the city’s history! Monday morning we gathered at the site of the future Power District for the groundbreaking of the new Rocky Mountain Power headquarters. This all-electric, 10-story building will feature modern tools and technology across a 300,000 SF campus and house the company’s 3,000 employees. Our team had the privilage of providing mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and technology design services for this project as well as power and telecom distribution for the site. There is so much to look forward to in the future of this district thanks to the support from Larry H. Miller Real Estate ⚡️ #powerdistrict #slcdevelopment #realestatedevelopment

REMINDER! Tomorrow is our acoustics lunch and learn, don't forget to RSVP. See you there!
Acoustics play a critical role in how people experience auditory comfort and functionality within buildings, yet this element is often overlooked in design. We invite you to join us on October 14 at 11:30 AM for a Lunch & Learn led by our Acoustician, Joe Morris. This session will provide increased comprehension on the practicality of acoustic design with strategies to improve and control sound in the built environment—an increasingly vital part of creating healthier, more functional, and compliant spaces. The presentation will cover: • Fundamentals of sound isolation, HVAC noise, and finished treatments • How sound travels and interacts with materials and assemblies • Approaches to reducing noise pollution and improving occupant well-being Attendees will leave with insights that enhance design decisions, improve project outcomes, and meet evolving regulatory standards—all while earning 1-hour AIA/HSW credit (physical certificates available). Join us to learn why leading experts consider acoustic design as integral to successful architecture as lighting, energy, and structural systems. 📅 October 14 | 11:30 AM (Actual presentation begins at noon) 📍 Resolut Office | 181 E 5600 S, Murray, Utah 🍽️ Lunch will be provided by Resolut, please be sure to RSVP through this link to secure your spot and meal: https://lnkd.in/gcbTZ2ZT Open to all AEC industry professionals.

Resolut has been awarded the ASHRAE Regional Technology Award for our work on the Daybreak Library! Led by our Mechanical Principal, Spencer Howell, the project featured a closed-loop vertical bore ground heat exchanger, specialized HVAC system integration, renewable energy generation, and the use of low-impact materials. The result is an energy-efficient, fiscally responsible, multigenerational community space that exemplifies resilience and adaptability, setting a compelling precedent for future public projects. Spencer traveled to San Francisco, CA to accept the award on behalf of our team and in recognition of all those who contributed to the success of this project. We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone whose efforts helped make this recognition possible! #ASHRAE #MechanicalEngineering #NetZero #EngineeringInnovating #SustainableEngineering

We love when our projects come with a fun fact or unique twist. One example of that is the Davis School District bus maintenance facility. This facility was originally a World War II-era warehouse complete with train tracks running right through the middle of it! This remodel wasn’t just about updating a building. It was about turning part of that old warehouse into a comfortable, practical space where bus drivers can spend time between shifts and staff can maintain the district’s fleet more efficiently. We incorporated mezzanines to make equipment access easier while preserving the building’s original structure and function. It’s always rewarding to work on a project with a clear purpose and a team that cares deeply about the outcome.

We’re proud to support the BrockStrong Foundation, a cause close to our hearts. This incredible foundation was started by our very own, Lori Haglund, in honor of her son Brock. At Resolut, we believe in lifting up not only the communities we serve, but also the people who make our company what it is. Supporting meaningful causes led by our own team members is one of the many ways we aim to do just that.
I'm thankful for A/E/C industry friends who continue to support me and BrockStrong Foundation! Last weekend's Booth Band show featured VCBO Architecture's Alex Booth and his boys, along with Reaveley Engineers Jerod Johnson, and Davis School District's Bryan Turner! The opening act was Matt Wolford from Canyons. What a thrill it was to see our yard full of friendly faces and amazing music! Thanks to Brooke Eppa Photography we have these wonderful photos to relive the event. A wealth of A/E/C sponsors believed in me before I believed we could do this, and for that, my heart is full! Ten kids are enjoying the privilege of music lessons thanks to the generosity of the banks and our sponsors, and I am so thankful! Resolut was honored to attend the groundbreaking ceremony for the U of U Eccles Health Campus & Hospital, Utah’s first full-service hospital west of I‑15. We are so proud to be part of this remarkable project, with our Mechanical Principal Brad Rosenhan leading the mechanical design. This facility represents a powerful collaboration aimed at improving lives through thoughtful design and engineering. The 800,000 sq. ft. campus will deliver lasting impact to the West Valley community by: - Creating over 2,000 new jobs, including workforce development opportunities for local residents - Expanding access to high-quality care through 130 inpatient beds, 200 outpatient exam rooms, emergency services, imaging, outpatient surgery, behavioral health, and more - Reducing travel burden for WVC residents who currently drive more than 12 million miles annually to receive care elsewhere Opening in 2028, this campus will bring equitable, culturally responsive care closer to home for one of Utah’s most diverse and underserved communities.
