  • Last month at Slush we co-hosted a brilliant panel discussion on the future of global talent, international hiring and what it really takes to build a borderless team. Huge thanks to Cal Henderson (Slack), Miia Laukkarinen (Erevena) and Frazer Williamson (AlphaSense)  for sharing such sharp insights and honesty! Key things we are took from the learnings:  🌍 EOR is becoming the global scaling cheat code. Not just compliance but a strategic unlock when you truly understand contracts, mobility and local employment nuance. 🤝 Culture doesn’t stop at the border. The best global teams keep a strong core culture while letting local hubs maintain their own character. 💡 Real collaboration still happens in person. Remote-first will continue, but creativity, trust and connection still rely on face-to-face time. 🤖 AI is transforming hiring, changing not just how we source talent, but how we think about team design and skills. 🧩 And one more big learning: global teams only work when the operations do. Companies consistently underestimate the operational and compliance hurdles of going global — from payroll and entity setup to mobility and local expectations.   • Raising a seed round is intense—whether you have 12 weeks or 12 months. We wanted to see what it actually looks like from the inside. So we gave one of our customers Sky Yang, co-founder at Imagine AI (YC F25), a camera and asked him to document three days of back-to-back investor meetings ahead of Y Combinator Demo Day while the team was still shipping product and acquiring customers. What he captured: the real work of building conviction with investors. No highlight reel. Just the grind. If you're raising (or planning to), this is worth watching.

She built a data-informed operating model with real-time workforce dashboards that improved our hiring velocity, flagged retention risks early, and helped leaders make faster, better decisions. Our internal HR assistants, Claire and Suni, now handle most employee inquiries with high accuracy, dramatically cutting response times and improving satisfaction.
