Our post-Thanksgiving wrap-up includes a thank you to Trooper Ray Cruz and the New Jersey State Police for another collaborative food distribution event. In conjunction with the State Police and the Union County Sheriff’s Department, RWJUH Rahway was able to distribute turkeys, ham and over 1000lbs of non-perishable food to our local food bank, Food for Friends, two houses of worship and a local middle school. Thank you and happy Thanksgiving to all who made it happen. See you next year!

Congratulations to Angel Jimenez, Security Officer, on receiving the STAR (Special Treatment at Rahway) Award for October 2025. An excerpt from his recommendation letter reads: “Angel was eating his lunch in the cafeteria, as we all were. An older doctor was signing for his food and started to walk away. The salad fell out of the doctor’s hand, and it went all over the floor! Most people turned their heads, but Angel put down his own food and secured the area. He got down on his knees and picked up every piece of food! This was the second time I saw Angel do such great things, helping people.
