This Giving Tuesday, we are highlighting the power of community in the recovery journey. Recovery grows in community, reflects what we see daily. When individuals feel supported, included, and connected, recovery becomes possible and sustainable. Giving Tuesday donations this year will strengthen our community programs. These programs offer meaningful activities, reduce isolation, build skills, and create a supportive environment. If our mission aligns with your values, we invite you to share our campaign or make a contribution. Together, we can continue building a community where recovery can shine through. Please join us in welcoming our November new hire class to Sound Community Services! Over the past three days, this cohort has immersed themselves in our mission, exploring every corner of the agency, touring our residential programs with CEO Gino DeMaio, and ending with an open conversation in his office about purpose and what it means to serve our community with compassion. We’re grateful for their energy, curiosity, and commitment to helping others thrive. Welcome to the team! #SoundCommunityServices #LeadershipInAction #OnboardingExcellence #EllaMoonTherapyDog

Creativity, a lot of candy, and a whole lot of community spirit! This Friday, October 24th from 4-7 PM, we'll be hosting our 4th Annual Trunk or Treat — a family-friendly favorite filled with costumes, connection, and plenty of Halloween fun. What started as a simple idea has become one of our favorite Sound traditions, where staff, clients, and neighbors come together and celebrate community. 🧡 #SoundCommunityServices #CommunityConnection #TrunkorTreat

Prioritizing safety through hands-on learning. Our Safety Committee partnered with MES | Shipman’s Fire Equipment in Waterford to lead an engaging fire extinguisher training for staff. The session focused on identifying various fire types, proper use of extinguishers, and real-time practice with suppression techniques. Thank you to MES | Shipman’s Fire Equipment for sharing their expertise and to our Safety Committee for continuing to strengthen workplace safety through education and collaboration. #WorkplaceSafety #EmployeeEngagement #SoundCommunityServices

The most meaningful introductions don't happen in meeting rooms—they happen in the spaces where our work comes to life. During this week's New Hire Orientation, our newest team members joined CEO Gino DeMaio for a guided tour of all of our residential programs, meeting the staff whose compassion and commitment bring our mission to life every day. It's was more than a tour; it was an opportunity to see the impact of recovery up close and to connect with the people who help make it possible. Welcome to the Sound family. #SoundCommunityServices #LeadershipInAction #OurWhy

Recovery Week 2025 has come to a close, leaving us with an extraordinary reminder of what happens when community comes together. Across three events — our Talent Show, Shine Through: A Celebration of Recovery at Harkness Memorial State Park, and Jason Hyatt Day, our annual Kickball Tournament honoring our former colleague — we witnessed the strength, resilience, and spirit that define recovery. From music and creativity to powerful speakers sharing their lived experiences, hands-on activities, and team spirit, the week was filled with connection, celebration, and purpose. Each moment reinforced why recovery deserves to be seen, supported, and celebrated. Thank you to everyone who participated, shared their stories, volunteered, donated, and joined us in making this week such a success. Together, we are building stronger connections, a stronger community, and a clearer picture of recovery in action. #RecoveryWeek2025 #SoundCommunityServices #RecoveryInAction #ShineThrough #JasonHyattDay
